Serving Our Community
Since 2014

History

More Than A Bed started with a few individuals who saw a need to help support and provide for Tucson’s foster families. What started in 2014 with a handful of volunteers, a few storage pods full of clothing, and 5 foster families to serve, has now grown to a 5,000 square foot warehouse, 2 full-to-the-brim storage pods and 20+ regular volunteers. In 2018, MTaB served over 700 families and thousands of children.

MISSION: To support foster, kinship, and adoptive families and the children in their homes by providing for practical items.

Grace Stocksdale

After running her own recruiting business in Manhattan, NY, Grace returned to Tucson in 2007, joined New Life Bible Fellowship and began coordinating the Helping Hands Ministry. As a result, she became acquainted with foster families within New Life and the foster care system which all led to this point. God's Word tells us that He knows the plans He has for us, plans to give us hope and a future.
