Until the build out of the Enrichment Center is complete, we are offering select programs at off-site locations. All classes listed below are offered at no charge for the foster, kinship, and adoptive children we serve at More Than a Bed.

Led by the University of Arizona Early Childhood Education teachers-in-training.

A fun, hands-on experiment that introduces physics in a creative way. Participants will join a team to build a miniature catapult or trebuchet and explore concepts of tension, torsion, force, and the fulcrum. Who can launch a projectile the farthest? Are you Team Catapult, or Team Trebuchet? All supplies provided.

Learn how to clean and prepare vegetables, explore varieties of chiles and tomatoes, practice safe cutting skills, and learn about this tasty and healthy snack. Participants will sample different flavor profiles and develop their own recipe for a batch to take home! All materials, including nylon cutting tools, will be provided.
