We are currently offering select programs at off-site locations. All classes listed below are offered at no charge for the foster, kinship, and adoptive children we serve at More Than a Bed.

In this 3-part interactive workshop series, teens will build practical skills for health, independence, and adulthood.
Session 1: Taking Charge of Your Health
Saturday, October 3rd 1:00-2:30pm
Learn how to navigate the healthcare system and become an advocate for your own health.
Session 2: Puberty, Relationships, and Sexual Health
Saturday, November 14th 1:00-2:30pm (Girls only)
Get real, age-appropriate information about puberty, healthy relationships, sexual health, hygiene, and more.
Session 3: Substance Use, Healthy Choices, and Refusal Skills
Saturday, December 5th 1:00-2:30pm
Learn about vaping, nicotine, cannabis, alcohol, peer pressure, and how substance use affects physical and mental health.
All sessions will take place in Catalyst Creative Collective in the Tucson Mall.

In this 7-week session, kids will foster the core elements of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) by learning basic computer programming. Students will learn how to create color and light sequences in order to communicate.

Learn how to clean and prepare vegetables, explore varieties of chiles and tomatoes, practice safe cutting skills, and learn about this tasty and healthy snack. Participants will sample different flavor profiles and develop their own recipe for a batch to take home! All materials, including nylon cutting tools, will be provided.

A fun, hands-on experiment that introduces physics in a creative way. Participants will join a team to build a miniature catapult or trebuchet and explore concepts of tension, torsion, force, and the fulcrum. Who can launch a projectile the farthest? Are you Team Catapult, or Team Trebuchet? All supplies provided.
